VCA Woodford Animal Hospital provides veterinary care for the animals of Woodford Humane, from routine procedures like exams and spay and neuter surgeries, to treatments for illness and injury. Thanks to their hardworking doctors and staff, our pets are in good hands when they need help the most! VCA Woodford Animal Hospital also provides Healthy Start Certificates for each pet upon adoption, to help them get, well, a healthy start in their new home.
VCA Woodford Boarding and Grooming has been a supporter of Woodford Humane’s events and programs for decades. Their support extends to our adopters as well, with an offer of complimentary daycare or an overnight stay for WHS alumni. With boarding, grooming, and daycare services available every day and the VCA Woodford Veterinary Clinic right next door, VCA Woodford Boarding and Grooming provides a comprehensive home away from home for their clients.
As Woodford Humane Society’s local television partner, ABC 36 plays a big role in promoting both our events and our adoptable pets. Catch us live with an adorable adoptable animal (as well as WHS news and pet care tips) every other Thursday on Good Day Kentucky – and look for our irresistibly cute Summer Gala advertisements in the summer months, thanks to their talented and hardworking production crew!
Our partner on the radio, Kiss 96.9 supports Woodford Humane all year long! Their advertisements and on-air chat help get the word out about our annual lineup of events and programs. Kiss also plays an active role in helping our animals find homes: they partner with WHS in adoption events, both here at our Adoption Center and out in the community. Special thanks, too, to sister station Your 106.3 for their support.
Through the Hill’s Food, Shelter, Love Program, Hill’s Science Diet provides the pet food we need at a fraction of the cost. In addition to keeping the bellies of 1,000 dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens full each year, Hill’s provides starter bags of food to send home with each adoption. This gives adopters a jump-start on their new-pet shopping list, and gives the adoptee a little consistency as they make the big change to their forever home.
